Hello, Kitties! The Human is getting ready to abandon me tomorrow to drive up to Mendocino, a pretty little town on the northern California coast. It's kind of far for a day trip, especially on a school day, but she is happy to do it as the trip is to attend the wedding of my beloved Auntieswho take care of me when the Human 'bandons me for anything more than a day. The Aunties have been life partners for more than 20 years, but it is only now that they have been allowed to celebrate their union by getting married. They are happy and excited, the Human is happy and excited, and their family and friends are coming from near and far to witness their vows and make merry afterwards! To tell you the truth, I think it would be swell if Onyx, their sweet little girlcat, and Yours Truly could attend also, but it's kind of far and I suppose we might misbehave. We'll be back Tuesday with a repurrt on the proceedings.
Yet again, the Human has let essay-grading go down to the wire. She's older than dirt, and still she has not learned how not to procrastinate. It's an outrage, Kitties, that my blogging needs should suffer because of her irresponsibility. However, she says we will be back Friday evening or possibly Caturday, with my full report on her many failings. Meanwhile, we are turning off comments on this post because she has at least the good grace to feel guilty about not helping me visit my furiends, and reading charming comments only makes her feel guiltier. As well she should, Kitties, as well she should.
Can you see Pinky? He's hiding out waaaaay back there. And yes, no doubt you've noticed that I am blissfully asleep once again. So I nap a lot! Like you kitties don't? Pfft. Sometimes it's the very best part of my day, you know? I mean, many of you Facebook users probably read of poor Sparkle's being subjected to an attack of kisses (shudder). So really, napping might save us from such indignities, don't you think? And even if our Humans *do* try to sneak in a kissie or six, we might sleep right through it!
