Gimme Them Old-Tyme X's & O's

So the Human brought me to the
girls' flag football game today.

Things were not going too well for
the Home Team, until I stepped in at
the half and showed those girlies a
thing or two about how to make a play.

And just look at how they perked up after a special S'Pep Talk!

Okay, okay, they didn't exactly win or anything, but they did score two count-'em-two TDs, their very first offensive points of the season.

What a Crybaby!

So her hand got in the way
of me and my toy
Cue the Waaaaaaambulance!

Splish-Splash Sunday Selfie

It's important for a ManCat to be clean and fresh all over. You never know who might be dropping by, right? Yes, I know: My pom-poms are not as perky as once they were, but they can still be fresh and floofy!

And We're Back . . .

Just in time for Caturday, too. You would not *believe* how hard it was to properly motivate the Human after her few days of sloth. She was on a roll there for a week or two, and then a little "obstacle" came along and she completely derailed -- really, why doesn't she just quit already?  She might've worked a little harder to artify this photo if she weren't binge watching True Detective. How did she never see this before? She's riveted!

Wednesday (of Few Words)

Are you going to make it worth my while to get up and greet you?

Okay, really? It better be something good.

Time Lord Tuesday

Kitties, Gather round! I have something to discuss with you. For about a week I have been ruminating, and stewing, and--yes--even brooding over this ridiculous notion of the Humans that they can manipulate time! Do they think they are Gods? Time Lords? Observers? Q?
Still, I had not quite decided how I, Spitty the Kitty, could manipulate this "Saved" time to my best advantage. Until today, when it came to me in a flash from . . . well, I don't know. The Tardis? The Enterprise? No matter.

I claim my Daylight-Savings Hour on my schedule, please, and I will have it from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. this week. I expect bright sun, warm puddles and soft breezes.
I will let you know later when I expect to see it next week.

? ? ? ? ? Twenty Questions ? ? ? ? ?

Q1) What is the light green thing above the poorly-folded orange shirt (worn only for Giants' games, we hasten to assure you), and why is it in the bedroom with the clothes and shoes?

Q2) Why does the Human watch old episodes of Sherlock and (worse) 24 when she should be sleeping? Why does she have a little portable DVD player under one of the pillows?

Q3) Look carefully where the box spring meets the bed frame. Do you see the little white threads there? Whose masterful work is that?

Q4) Why is the bed always so messy? We observe in other Kitties' blogs that lots of Humans are sooooooo much neater than mine.

Q5) What is the most attractive thing in this picture? Okay, then, what is the second most attractive?

Imagine there are 15 more.

Sunday Selfie: So You Think You Can Photo?

The Human's photoing skills leave much to be desired. For one thing, she is too lazy/impatient/unimaginative to take good action shots so she's forever sneaking up on me when I am napping (which, to be fair, I--like most 12-year-old kitties--do a lot of). It's easy, she says. I look good, she says (and honestly, who wants to argue with that?)  Still, lots of times I rip around the place chasing toys or imaginary mice and I look way more interesting and exciting. Apparently, her photoing skills are not up to that, or she's too lazy to go get the camera, or she's up to some inconsequential Human activity.

I could use a new photographer. Maybe craigslist has a section for that? I could pay in kibbles. Or Kitcoin.

          Sunny, Sleepy Saturday

While the Human and I loves us some winter storms, even we have about Had It
with the endless downpours. This morning I curled up in my purple beddy and
worshipped the lovely rays.

Darling Nellie and Spittola Prove . . .

you are never too old!
I rolled the ol' Furrari right out onto the street and, in a flash, collected Sweet Nellie in British Columbia. We stopped by a nice nature reserve where I had some flowers waiting for her:

We lunched on a couple of tiny forest creatures, and then sped off to San Francisco, where we enjoyed a little spray from the Pacific and a slightly cloudy blue sky:

I whisked her home before her Mommy even knew she had run off with me! Though maybe she'll wonder where the flowers came from . . .

#TBT: Should I or Shouldn't I?

I dunno. Am I too old?
Would I get any takers?
But it *is* a special LoveMobile . . .
with a lot of fantastic memories . . .
hmmmmm.

          Some Assembly Required

I was cozy.
I was warm.
I was . . . confused.

"Sweet kitty sleeping under a buffalo"

N.B.  The Human took this about two weeks ago as I snoozed peaceably in the sun. It really is just me, albeit in some really weird position such that it is almost impossible for me or the Human to figure out what is what. Obviously, there is a central ear, and I believe the tippity top of my tailio is peeking in from the lower left. All the other random furs? Well, your guess is as good as mine, Kitties. And that's the whole troof.

Pillowtalk?

It's been an age since a certain girlcat occupied her pillow. Just sayin'.

        Sunday Selfie:Here Comes the Sun . . .

Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
*
Last night's "light showers" turned into a freezing downpour, but this afternoon has brought at least a modicum of welcome sunlight. It's the cheeriest we've been in weeks and weeks and weeks!

Pretty in Pink

So we took Janet Dake & Ducky up on their offer to knit PussyCatHats in exchange for a donation to Planned Parenthood.

Our hat arrived the other day and we were so pleased we put it on right away. Well, let's be honest here: She put it on. *I* was not a volunteer, and you might just possibly be able to tell I was not an enthusiastic model.

I still look better than the post-flu Human though. And the pre-flu Human too, when you get right down to it.
